Tuvo lugar el jueves 5 de julio, en la sede de la CEOE, a la que la AEEPP se acaba de incorporar. Es el primer congreso de estas caracterÃsticas y relevancia que se celebra en el mundo y tendrá lugar en la ciudad de Madrid, en el mes de junio de 2008.
El pasado dÃa 5 de julio, la AEEPP celebró su Asamblea General Ordinaria, presidida por Arsenio Escolar, que resumió en su informe las actividades de la AEEPP en el 2006. Se siguió el Orden del dÃa cuyos puntos fueron aprobados por unanimidad.El acto tuvo lugar en la sede de la CEOE a la que la AEEPP se acaba de integrar, esta incorporación es, sin duda, un paso de gigante para nuestra asociación. Como asociación patronal, parte de la Comisión Tripartita y firmantes del Convenio Nacional de Prensa no diaria, estábamos obligados a formar parte de la estructura de la patronal española. No se entenderÃamos que caminásemos en paralelo, sin beneficiarnos de la estructura y posibilidades que la CEOE nos ofrece. El vicepresidente de la CEOE D. Juan Jiménez de Aguilar dió la bienvenida a la AEEPP por su integración en la misma como miembro de pleno derecho. En representación de la Presidenta de la Comunidad de Madrid asistió el viceconsejero de Inmigración D. Carlos Clemente.Tras la Asamblea General Ordinaria, tuvo lugar la presentación del I Congreso Mundial de Prensa Gratuita, a celebrar en la ciudad Madrid, el 24, 25, 26 y 27 de junio de 2008.Durante cuatro dÃas Madrid será la capital mundial de la prensa y publicaciones gratuitas. Para ello invitaremos a representantes de al menos 32 paÃses para que estén presentes y debatan con nosotros este nuevo fenómeno que ha convulsionado al mundo de los medios, la publicidad y la opinión pública.
