La edición de Diario de Valencia del pasado martes 26 de junio fue la última que llegó a los quioscos. Ese mismo dÃa se comunicaba a toda la plantilla que el rotativo cerraba, ante la negativa del consejo de administración de invertir más capital para sufragar las pérdidas económicas.
El cierre de Diario de Valencia se produce después del de Valencia TeVe, en marzo de 2006, también bajo la dirección de Sánchez Carrascosa.
