El pasado 1 de febrero de 2011 Fundación “La Caixa†y Fundación ONCE suscribieron un convenio Marco de Colaboración, por el que se acordaron aunar esfuerzos y adoptar proyectos conjuntos y acciones dirigidas a promover y posibilitar la integración plena de las personas con discapacidad en la sociedad, entre las que se contemplaba la fórmula de microcréditos dirigidos a personas con discapacidad; las lÃneas de actuación se concretaron el 14/06/2011 en un convenio especÃfico con MicroBank, siendo las siguientes:
·      LÃneas microcrédito discapacidad: para impulsar y promover la accesibilidad universal y el diseño para todos.
·      LÃneas microcrédito negocios (social y financiero): para promocionar el autoempleo e incentivar la actividad emprendedora de las personas con discapacidad.
Para ello la Fundación “La Caixaâ€, a través de su “banco social†denominado MicroBank, ha dotado el importe anual de diez millones de euros (10.000.000 euros) ofreciendo, al colectivo de la discapacidad, unas condiciones de financiación ventajosas.
En el caso de los microcréditos discapacidad (para fomento de la accesibilidad), únicamente será necesario dirigirse a cualquier oficina de La Caixa e identificarse como persona con discapacidad al hacer su solicitud de financiación, que será estudiada por la entidad bancaria.
En el caso de los microcréditos negocios (social o financiero), Fundación ONCE actuará como entidad intermediaria, estudiando los proyectos empresariales, que deberán presentarse a la convocatoria anual de ayudas económicas para fomento del autoempleo. La información detallada sobre la convocatoria se encuentra en la web de la Fundación ONCE www.fundaciononce.es.
