Los trabajadores autónomos atraviesan “una situación límite” a causa de la crisis y la falta de financiación. Así lo afirma el presidente de la Federación Nacional de Asociaciones de Trabajadores Autónomos (ATA), Lorenzo Amor, quien advierte de que la desaceleración económica ha hecho que la actividad caiga de media un 30%, porcentaje que se dispara hasta cifras insospechadas en sectores como la construcción y el metal.

 Según Amor, un cuarto de los autónomos quiere contratar más personal, pero la ausencia de crédito hace que la mayoría de ellos (el 18% del total) abandone la idea de crear empleo. Cada día de enero, más de mil autónomos abandonaron su trabajo. Las comunidades más afectadas son Andalucía, Madrid, la Comunidad Valenciana, Cataluña y el País Vasco.

Amor destaca que el cierre del grifo de la financiación ha sido un duro golpe. “La financiación no existe y los autónomos sin financiación somos como un coche sin gasolina”, dice. “Vas al banco y o te dicen directamente que no o argumentan que les falta no sé qué aplicación informática, la realidad es que ocho de cada diez tiene auténticos problemas para conseguirlo”, añade.

Críticas y demandas

El presidente de ATA critica algunas de las medidas adoptadas por el Gobierno. Por ejemplo, cuestiona el fondo de 8.000 millones de euros para obras municipales. La organización estima que los proyectos aprobados no generan empleo de larga duración y que, por el contrario, cada contratación de las previstas supone un coste de 36.000 euros.

Entre las demandas de ATA destaca la necesidad de que las administraciones paguen antes. “Deben a las empresas más de 32.000 millones de euros y pagan habitualmente a 180 días; eso debe de cambiar, deben ser los primeros en dar ejemplo”, considera Amor.

Otras peticiones urgentes son las bonificaciones de los contratos y de las cuotas de la Seguridad Social, la rebaja del Impuesto de Sociedades, la reducción temporal de los módulos o la posibilidad de no devengar el IVA trimestralmente de aquellas facturas no cobradas.

Por su parte, el presidente de la Confederación Española de la Pequeña y Mediana Empresa (CEPYME), Jesús Bárcenas, asegura que las administraciones publicas deben a las pymes unos 33.000 millones de euros y el retraso en el pago se acerca a los ocho meses.

Bárcenas explica que la morosidad de las administraciones no es algo nuevo, pero se ha acentuado con la crisis económica y sus efectos son ahora más negativos por la dificultad de acceder a créditos. También las grandes compañías se están demorando en el pago a las pequeñas, afirma el presidente de CEPYME.

Uno de los sectores más afectados por la morosidad de las administraciones es el de servicios urbanos, así como el constructor, el de suministros hospitalarios y el de servicios de jardinería.

En este contexto, el citado fondo de inversión local de 8.000 millones para estimular el empleo es insuficiente, advierte Bárcenas, ya que se trata de ayudas “finalistas” para proyectos determinados y solo aliviarán temporalmente el problema.
